I have had this issue with my van (2000 Hymer A class). Whilst the Hymer is based on a Ducato, I believe the wiper system to be from Volvo (truck?), but I would imagine them to be similar in construction. The circlip mention above is accessed by removing the nut and spring washer holding the wiper arm, and pulling the wiper from the spindle.

May 9, 2022. #1. Hi, We have a 3.0 Ducato Ambulance, with automatic transmission. It's been standing for approx. 12 months. New battery, got it going and through MOT today. Having driven it a little it keeps beeping, and then moving to neutral. Code scan shows P0856. It also keeps throwing odd CAN errors.
Guest. Jun 27, 2019. #5. I had exactly that problem on my 2008 Ducato based Adria. Full speed or flick wipe only. Aparently all the gubbins is in the motor body. i bought a new motor similar to item number 232648644650 on ebay complete with linkage. It was dead easy to fit and a complete cure.

Sourced the replacement from fast parts for £119 for motor and linkage. Ordered scuttle fastening studs ebay £6 for pack of 10. Am going to seal the scuttle up,
Points. 82. Jan 19, 2011. #2. 30A is very high for a wiper circuit, see if there is anything else on the same fuse. If not, check wiper current draw on dry screen, add 50%, thats your fuse size. If there are other devices on the same fuse, fit an inline fuse on the feed to the wiper circuit. OP.
Issue relates to 2009 Peugeot Boxer 3.0 X250 but I believe most of the systems are the same as the Fiat equivalent. Wiper suddenly stopped working completely, no prior faults or problems. Checked fuses ok, power getting to connector plug at motor and could hear a relay clicking within the motor housing when trying to operate the wipers.
I'm having a bit of a kerfuffle. The indicators don't work. Here's what I know: The wiring to the indicators is untouched, undisturbed. All 4 bulbs work via the hazard flasher switch. The 15a fuse works ok- tested, subsituted etc. I have just fitted additional headlights and new spotlights- all work fine and are not wired up with the indicators.

1. Dec 8, 2006. #1. I have a 1995 ducato camper van and recently the wipers refused to opperate on any speed. I managed to get them to work on one speed by switching them on and then giving them a help by pushing them to start. I have since replaced the motor but the fault is still there.
If Fiat replace the unit it is likely to be with another unit with the same design fault. Cartronix say they beef up the unit in some way when they repair it. The only evidence of this to my untrained eye is that the warning lights are brighter when they are on but I have no reason to disbelieve them. The Cartonix repair costs considerably less
The wipers on my 2010 Ducato occasionally stop mid-screen and refuse to respond to the wiper stalk - it can happen on all of the speed settings If I stop the van and the engine the wipers resume working as soon as the ignition is turned back on Cannot detect any pattern to when/why they stop but it happens too often for comfort Any thoughts please?
